Start the fake neobank

This quickstart runs PostgreSQL, isolated session and task Redis instances, Vault, FastAPI, the worker, scheduler, and React with deterministic provider behavior. Use it to inspect the public contract without a Perflo account.

Install prerequisites

Install Docker with Compose, Python 3.12, uv 0.11.32, Node.js 24 or newer, and pnpm 11.5.2.

Start the stack

Run:
Open http://localhost:3000. Open the development-only API reference at http://localhost:8000/docs.

Exercise the operation flow

Create a recipient, estimated transfer, mandate, or card in the customer application. Mutation requests return an accepted operation. Transfers and mandates open a fake trusted approval page, then the application polls until completion. Reload while approval is pending. The operation tracker restores the operation from GET /v1/operations and continues polling without resubmitting the provider write.

Switch to local live mode

Stop the fake stack and start the reviewed live backend:
Run the web development server with VITE_DEBUG_USER set to a dedicated local subject. Local live mode still requires PostgreSQL, separate session and task Redis authorities, Vault, and the exact HTTPS Perflo origins. Follow the end-to-end tutorial for the controlled workflow.
